Kelsey May is the Founder of Resilience and a dedicated healthcare professional with more than 10 years of experience serving individuals across a variety of healthcare and community-based settings. As a nurse, her professional experience includes hospital care, nursing home and long-term care, and community-based services supporting individuals through Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) programs. Her career has allowed her to care for individuals with diverse needs while gaining a well-rounded understanding of the importance of safe, compassionate, and individualized support.
Throughout her career, Kelsey has served not only in direct-care roles, but also in positions of leadership and responsibility, including experience as a Charge Nurse and in supervisory roles. These experiences have strengthened her ability to lead teams, coordinate care, communicate with families and professionals, advocate for individuals, and recognize the importance of accountability and consistency in quality care.
Working across hospitals, nursing homes, and community-based services has given Kelsey a unique perspective on the different challenges individuals and families can face throughout the continuum of care. She has witnessed firsthand how compassionate, dependable, and person-centered support can promote independence, dignity, and quality of life. These experiences shaped her belief that exceptional care should not be limited to traditional healthcare settings, but should extend into the homes and communities where people live, grow, and thrive.
Kelsey founded Resilience with the vision of creating an organization built on compassion, dignity, integrity, independence, and respect. Her goal is to provide individuals with meaningful, dependable support while giving families confidence in the care their loved ones receive. She believes that quality care begins with seeing the person—not simply the need—and creating an environment where individuals feel respected, heard, safe, and valued.
Her clinical background, leadership experience, and understanding of community-based care provide a strong foundation for Resilience's continued growth and expansion. As the organization develops, Kelsey is committed to building a trusted resource for individuals and families while creating a culture where caregivers are valued, supported, trained, and equipped to provide quality care. She is intentional about building Resilience not simply as a healthcare organization, but as a dependable presence within the communities it serves.
At the heart of Kelsey's leadership is a simple philosophy: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, supported with compassion, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Care that strengthens and helps you thrive.
